Why Write NMAT 2020 Exam?

The NMAT exam is unique. Many MBA aspirants prefer writing it. They spend time and money on NMAT preparation. The exam is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). GMAC also conducts the GMAT exam. The credibility assures MBA aspirants. The exam also is designed, keeping in mind the convenience of the test takers. 

Here are TEN main reasons why an MBA aspirant must write the NMAT 2020 exam:

1. No Negative Marking – Negative marking is something every MBA aspirant dreads. And NMAT 2020 gives it to you. With no negative marking, it gives you the chance to make educated guesses if required. Also, the fear of not losing unnecessary marks is a confidence booster.
2. Speed-based test – The NMAT exam is speed-based. You need to answer 108 questions in 120 minutes. Usually, when speed is of the essence, the difficulty level is not very high. However, do not undermine it. With sectional time limits, you can easily plan to answer 100 percent questions with 90 percent accuracy.
3. No Sectional Order – There are three sections in NMAT 2020. You can choose the order in which you want to attempt the language skills, quantitative skills, and logical reasoning. You can enter the examination hall with a pre-decided strategy and choose the order of sections. Attempt the part which is most comfortable for you. This will instill confidence. Just remember that time saved while answering one section will not be carried over to the next section.
4. Retake NMAT 2020– The ability to re-write the NMAT exam makes it a preferred option for students. In case you want to improve upon your scores and suspect that the first attempt was not up to the mark, you can retake the NMAT exam. After writing it once, you can retake the exam twice more. In all, you can write the NMAT 2020 exam thrice. The best of the three scores can be chosen.
5. Self-Schedule – The NMAT exam is conducted over 75 days. NMAT 2020 dates are between 6th Oct till 19th Dec 2020. There are five windows. You can schedule any NMAT window, available day and exam slot as per your convenience. You can also reschedule the exam. In case you are unprepared or foresee an emergency during an already booked slot, you can reschedule the exam. There is a separate fee for retake and rescheduling of the NMAT exam.
6. Official NMAT Study Material – NMAT by GMAC provided excellent official material for preparation. The NMAT official guide gives a detail about the NMAT exam pattern and type of question. 
7. Official NMAT Practice Tests – NMAT by GMAC provides two practice tests that can be purchased with the official guide. These tests help prepare and familiarize themselves with the NAMT exam syllabus and pattern. You can get scaled scores that help you understand the marking scheme and scoring pattern of the exam.

9. Excellent Choice of Colleges – Some of the best colleges in India will accept the NMAT 2020 score. Popular NMAT accepting colleges are NMIMS, ISB, VIT Vellore, etc.

CAT 2020 Exam Registration

CAT Exam is likely to be held in the month of November. CAT Exam is conducted by one of the IIMs to get admission for Post Graduate Programmes in Management in 20 IIMs and other top 100 B School of the country. Common admission test is one of the prestigious exams for MBA Aspirants. Notification for the same will be out in July 2020 and the registration for the same will begin in 1^st week of August and end in 2^nd week of September 2020.

The Registration for CAT 2020 is an online process and you need to apply online. There will be no offline registration facility. During the registration process you need to fill up your Personal Details, Contact Details, Academic Details, Work Experience, Test centre selection, IIMs which you wish to apply, Photograph upload, scanned signature and category certificates. Please ensure to fill the form carefully as you will not be able to rectify the details in case you fill them incorrectly. You will have to re-register in case of wrong details. After registration you will get a unique registration id with which you will be able to login to the official website. Approximately 2.4 Lac plus aspirants appeared for CAT Exam last year.

Last year the CAT Registration fee was INR 1900 for General Category and INR 950 for reserved category i.e. SC/ST/PwD. This may vary for CAT 2020.

An official mock test for preparation will also be published on CAT website for practise so that you can understand the exam pattern and the difficulty level of the exam.

On the day of your exam, you will have to carry your Admit card which is an important document and will have to be downloaded from the official website of CAT. You will have to login using your credentials and review all the details mentioned on your admit card. It will be issued by the IIMS Conducting body. You will have to carry the soft copy at the day of the exam. No hard copy will be sent to the candidate of the admit card.

As soon as you register for CAT 2020 exam, you will get a target so as to appear for your exam in November 2020. You will have to buck up and start your preparation in full swing. You need to work on your basics and go on to practise with different kind of questions. You will have to practise for all the sections equally – Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability Reading Comprehension and Data Interpretation Logical Reasoning.
