Dream for best B school that’s your right. But hold and put a question to yourself whether you are ready to meet the challenges which you will put forth during admission process by MBA institutes?

It is perceived that after having scored high percentile in MBA entrance exam, you are bound to be grilled for second round of admission cycle in arias of WAT, Essay, and GD & PI.

You can appear in many exams like CAT, XAT, IIFT, SNAP, NMAT and CMAT. Even scoring high percentile in these exams there is no guarantee that you will be selected.

B schools are of the view that they are looking forward to great quality aspirants who can be converted to a future manager and can meet aspirations of corporate.

Continue to dream high but remain settled with realities that competition is fierce and only those with exceptional qualities will be getting golden chance.

You are supposed to be employable after MBA

Those who think that after having MBA degree they will be placed in a company with the networking facility of placement cell of Institute must forget this ideal scenario. 

Companies are demanding certain employability skills such as perfect communication power, adaptability skills, can do attitude and willing to learn more. 

Above skills have to be improved by yourself only and institute has already created learning environment for you in form of learning resources, case studies, visiting faculty and industry interaction programs.

Besides theory, by and large you are expected to understand industry scenario and with your own SWOT to explain and convince the selection panel that you are the right candidate for company.

Both GD & PI will be different during placement as you will be tested for those skills which you have adapted after MBA and you will be selected only on merits.

Is it necessary to do MBA after Graduation?

Post Graduation, MBA is perhaps only stream of education with which you can get placed in some good company.

Being candid to appreciate the fact that after twelfth standard best students go for either Medical or Engineering and left over go for graduation. Here, in university bests go for honours and others comply with pass courses.

Certain streams like science, arts and humanities still don’t give much vocational opportunity to students so what they should do now?

Equation is simple that if you wish to aspire for achieving greater heights, you need to inspire yourself first. 

Self Inspiration will come from self motivation and that will accrue from goal clarity.

For sure, you are aspiring to get in to some best MBA institute so for that matter only wishes will not work. You need to take up this project and prepare for a minimum of one year of rigorous preparation for number of MBA entrance exams. 

Besides reading motivational stories and watching action videos, an honest SWOT can also prove to be inspirational, provided analysis is shared with peers and practical ideas are put forward.

Both success and failure can be impediment to inspiration if not handled properly.

Failure Psychosis is a disease

Media reported this week one story of  a youth committing a suicide because of not making to prestigious civil services exam and later claim coming from exam conducting authority that young man didn’t clear even preliminary exam, is self explanatory that failure at all stages have  not  been taken to stride and extreme step has been committed.

Psychologists say that failure psychosis is a disease and can be overcome by putting simple effort of discussing failure with friends and peers.

Many sayings compel us to take lessons from failure, it creates an opportunity and it pushes you towards more positives.

We need not get bogged down with new social stress and we must fight it out. Who has not failed? But success will come only if failures are worked upon.
