11th Hour SNAP 102 Tips

SNAP 2012 is being conducted on tomorrow that is 16th December, 2012. Here are some last minute tips. 

Work on your concepts: It is important to go thorough in most areas like statistics & geometry. Be Dynamic, do not be disturbed or overwhelmed by past experiences of mock tests. Be confident but not over-confident.

Be Informed: You should keep your eyes and ears open and collect data about previous year tests, competition, important dates, etc.

Know your Strengths & Weaknesses: Understand what you are good at, which section, which particular area, etc. and where improvement is required?

Develop your Strengths: Once they are identified, you need to build upon your strengths and ensure that they are concrete.

Work on your Weaknesses: Ensure that you turn your Weaknesses into your Strengths through Hard work & Application. However, you can ignore certain areas you are not sure of or makes you confuse.

Analyze & Strategize: Analysis about strength and weakness will help you strategies your test paper like which section to attempt first, how much time to spend on each section, what kind of questions to scan for solving at first, etc.

Assumption-Premise-Conclusion, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, Identifying valid inferences ,Identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Statements and conclusions, Cause and Effect, Identifying Probably true, Probably false, definitely true, definitely false kind of statement, Linear arrangements, Matrix arrangements. Puzzles, Syllogisms, Functions, Family tree - identifying relationship among group of people, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Sequencing, Identifying next number in series.

ENGLISH Section

Comprehension of passage (Poems can also come),Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Contextual usage, Analogies, Antonyms, Fill In the Blanks, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences, Jumbled paragraphs (6 sentences with first and last fixed),Sentence Correction, Foreign language words used in English, Sentence completion, Idioms, One word substitution, Different usage of same word.

GK/GA/BA  Section

Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies, Top officials of big companies, Major corporate events. Famous award and prizes World Records Books  and authors. Science, History, Geography, International organizations Important quotations Social issues, Sports, Finance, Automobiles, Entertainment, Politics.

General Awareness section in SNAP 2012

MBA aspirants who are taking forthcoming SNAP 2012 on December 16^th should be aware of that General Awareness section would comprise of 40 questions which you have to complete in stipulated time of 30 minutes. Experts say that even if you attempt more than 25 correctly you might be successful in exam.

Topics of General awareness can vary from sports to films, history to science, politics to war and Indian culture to western culture etc. Hence, you need to be well versed with current affairs.

It is suggested not only to read daily newspaper and create a focus on Editorial, National and International news but glance through sports page. Besides it would be worthwhile to listen All India Radio news feature at 9.15 pm daily.

It is advisable not to leave any loop on issue based news and find out the reality and facts for e.g. why Myanmar is strategically important for India ?

SNAP Analytical and Logical Reasoning Section Analysis

SNAP aspirants may note that there will be total 22-24 questions. Questions might be based on Sets, Visual Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Critical reasoning and syllogisms.

SNAP 2012 - General English

MBA aspirants who are taking forthcoming SNAP 2012 0n December 16, 2012 should be aware of the fact that Ideal attempts must be done as there will be total 40 questions (21 verbal ability & 19 on reading comprehensions).

• Grammar and Usage Based Questions: In this type contains identifying the correct and incorrect sentences, change the voice and synonyms, punctuation, scrambled sentences which are familiar to sentences that we regularly come across in the newspapers. 
• Word Based Questions: There will be questions of the type like fill in the blank, antonym, and odd one out and words were familiar ones and time consuming.
• Reading Comprehension: There will be four passages on a variety of topics like science, entrepreneurship, trade and quality of a person. We have to give answers based on this specific passage.

The best strategy for solving this section would be to attempt many questions as much as possible.
