One of the mistakes that
many candidates make during a Personal Interview is sharing information that is
not relevant to the question. In a Personal Interview, you are tested on your
communication skills.
If you do not answer to the
point or share relevant information, it shows that you are not paying attention
to the question that the interviewer is asking you. This reflects badly on your
interpersonal skills.
Generally, you should
answer a question in four to six lines. Also, do not beat around the bush while
answering questions. Give direct answers that are informative.
Another mistake that some
candidates make is by responding in monosyllables like ‘yes’ and ‘no’. A
Personal Interview is a platform for you to stimulate further discussion and
show the interviewer your genuine interest in pursuing an MBA. So, you have to
put some thought into your answers and convey them in an enthusiastic manner.
