CAT aspirants who are aspiring to be
selected in any of IIMs must note that even after having scored high percentile
in CAT, you need to clear WAT (Written Ability Test) which will be conducted by
all IIMs individually at their campus.
In WAT you will be tested for your
handwriting, creative writing and over all expression of thoughts in a format
of Essay writing or on any specified
topic of current affairs but in a stipulated time frame of 15 to 20 minutes.
Later during PI you may be asked questions
on what you have written in WAT. Such is the importance of WAT in ultimate
selection to IIMs.
Preparation of WAT cannot be done
overnight hence, you need to start practicing with writing a stanza on
contemporary topics.
